A beloved uncle has just left us…

 In Christianity, Personal

A beloved uncle has just left us. Today is his cremation day and the sky is grey now… Is this a sign, what can I say?

一切尽在不言中…

在不舍得,也要舍得

在不放手,也要放手

Even so we can only choose to believe he is now in the good hands of Christ, his Lord and Saviour. May his family find peace and rest during this time. Amen!

In his eldest daughter’s sharing, they went through numerous ups and downs so much so she can’t even recollect when did he first gotten this illness. There was so much fear in them, every resuscitation, every rush to hospital of not knowing when might be the last time. It is very true no one can put any judgement on what is to do or not to do when you are not in that position. However, through out all this, she is thankful of all the learning she got from her dad even during challenging times. From a simple gesture of nodding the head to express thank you to a 眼神, she bear witness of all the little things that happen to his dad and slowly stripping him off his abilities.

She came over and thank my mum for giving her mum a job during this time just so she can have a distraction. I asked, who is helping who, it is all God’s timing. Just when my mum needed help, she appeared, a hardworking worker when in need. We lost contact for more than 10 years ago, re-connected again when I accepted Christ. Both mums re-connected and re-kindle the working relationship when they meet again, what are the chances?

John 14:6-7

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know[b] my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

Psalms 23:1-6

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
